Organizations that have been granted funds from the Foundation:
H.O.P.E. Connections... The Foundation has supported this program which helps
H.O.P.E. Scholars attend academic-based support programs like PSAT Survey Course, ACT Course, Girls' Math/Science Conference
in the Greater Lansing Area, MASCOT, and Dimensions. Also the Connections program helps the scholars tour campus, attend field trips, and workshops. It keeps the students involved
and gives them the ability to succeed. The HOPE Scholarship Program (also know as"Helping Other People Excel")
is giving at-risk Lansing School district students a scholarship to LCC. Students promise to finish high school
in exchange for two years of free college tutition at LCC. Students are initiated into the program in the sixth grade
and schools determine which students are eligible.
Boys and Girls Club... The Foundation is supporting
the program Project Learn. This
program incorporates Power Hour, Reasons to Read, Goals of Graduation, Journalism, Grossology and an innovative new Mobile
Learning Lab into the Club's weekly programs to ensure that hundreds of children ages 6-18 get the assistance they
need to succeed in school.
MSU Scholarship... The Foundation has formed the Joe D. Pentecost Foundation Endowed Athletic Scholarhsip for student-athlete's who
are pursuing a degree in Construction Management or Business, maintain NCAA, Big Ten and MSU eligibility to compete
in their respective sport throughout the duration of receiving this scholarship and remain in good academic standing
with MSU. Receipients
will be selected during the Spring or Summer, with awards to be effective the following Fall semester.
MSU Duffy Daugherty Building ... The Foundation has made a
commitment towards the renovation of the Duffy Daugherty Football Building. The support of the Foundation
is very significant and meaningful given Joe's legacy of support to Spartan Athletics and therefore having the Joe D.
Pentecost Foundation Full Team Meeting Room.
Junior Achievement The Foundation has contributed to help support classroom
educational training.
Gaudior Academy The Foundation is helping schools with the funds to take underprivileged students on
field trips to places they would otherwise never be able to see or experience.
